I picked up Deadly Sanctuary while visiting Scottsdale, Arizona. I was in town for a few days and actually had another book in my hand on that visit to the book store. I came across this book, loved the reviews and bought it instead. I later learned Sylvia Nobel was a local favorite who had won many awards for her writing.

This book was amazing. It was very intriguing and a page turner from the beginning to the end.
If you have never been to Arizona. the author will help you see what Arizona really looks like.
The author's appreciation for living in Arizona is very evident from her descriptions.
The main character, Kendall O' Dell, is someone everyone can relate to. As she tries to untangle a murder mystery in her new hometown, she's attracted to two very different men. You have to wait and see which one will win her favor.
Deadly Sanctuary has great character and plot development. The story moves at a great pace. It has a nice fluid style that holds the reader's interest.Â

I love the way Nobel made a small town gossip endearing instead of just another nuisance. Sylvia Nobel spins a good tale, you will not be disappointed.
Deadly Sanctuary kept me guessing right up to the end. I could not put this book down. I had to know what would happen next. This is a great read, and I recommend it to anyone who loves mysteries and even to those who do not usually read them.

This feisty redhead will keep you entertained for hours with her harrowing escapades in the Arizona desert.
This book is just fabulous. You will find yourself desperate for The Devil's Cradle, Dark Moon Rising and Seeds of Vengeance because you can't get enough of Kendall O'Dell!

I just bought this at amazon.
I often go to Arizona.
I noticed the author is a member of the Arizona Authors Association and Mystery Writers of America.
I have read that she based her books on actual newspaper articles.
Her first novel, Deadly Sanctuary, received the Arizona Book Publishing Association Glyph Award for the best Arizona mystery novel.
It must be a great book because the movie is currently in pre-production. Castle Valley Films plans to film the movie at various locations around Arizona, including Phoenix, Wickenburg, Prescott and Bisbee. Now that will be really cool because the area is just beautiful.
Hope you read & enjoy the book.
I hope others enjoy them.
I like to share the good one's.
I will never doubt you again.
I hope this book comes fast.
If you say its a good book, like I said before, now I know,
ITS A GOOD BOOK.
(I am now willing to bet on it.)
Keep posting and writing these reviews.
I will let you know when I finish this one.
This is debateable. Arizona has Tombstone, but after visiting Deadwood, I think South Dakota had more reason for notoriety. It was illegally settled after the U.S. government signed a treaty with the local Native American tribes ceding them the Black Hills in the late 1860s. Of course, once white men found the greatest gold stake ever in the history of North America in the mid 1870s, they weren't going to let it go. OTOH, Tombstone had the gunfight at the OK Corrale, which is the most documented and dramatized incident of the Old West.
Visiting these old mining towns is awesome.
