I've got "You've got to have Faith" stuck in my head.... from finishing Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet ... whole thing mentions music all the way through it... .but not that particular song.... the girl Luke has a crush on is named Faith, so it made sense to me... but once I thought of it, it stuck LOL

I put my patio plants out this morning and it barely rained enough to wet under my car. They were out in the yard when the heavy stuff came this afternoon and the pots were running over with rainwater.

We were sea during a storm once and the rain was coming down it every direction at the same time. Waves were taking us way up, up, up then dropping us back down, we were under water a lot too. Ask if we were going to get sub pay for it, they said no.

My granddaughter, Whitney( Now 20) weighed 10lbs, 3 oz at birth and was 22 inches long. I went back to Toledo to see her when she was 6 days old. She was wearing a dress and sitting in her baby seat on the floor and looked at least a month old.

Yes, Audrey, I nurse her. It's the highlights of my day (and the misery of my night)
I do get a bit of rest though. She is close to being on a 4-hour schedule and already at least that in the nights. Last night, I fed her at about 11:30pm and she didn't wake up until 5:30am (boy was I glad she did too!)

My biggest baby was the first at 8 lbs, 12 1/2 oz. and my littlest 5 lbs. 8 oz and a month early. When she was born there was a woman in the maternity wing who had a 13 lb. 8 oz. baby. 8 whole lbs. more than mine.

Oh, I am so glad all mine were below 8 lbs.!
Larry, I didn't get to nurse my first (I was ignorant and too shy to ask questions - my mom never nursed any of her kids and neither did hubby's mom) but the second I nursed until 6 months, last until 9 months (got pg!) and this one I am shooting for at least a year!

Thanks, Audrey. I am going to try to be on here some Wednesday. And will post a birthday article too! C'mon everyone, make me feel "old!"

took meds for two weeks before steven then they had to induce him cause I ran a temp, when he was born he looked like a scrawning chicken his dad could hold in one hand. (he was 2lb 7 oz. 15 inches long likely cause of his dad's size)

In many under developed countires moms were convinced that bottle feeding was better than breast feeding. This actually led to increase infant mortality in those countries.

You're right Brian, it was a horrilbe thing to have happen especially cause of the poor water supply and how this affected the infants as well as mom. the antibodies in breast milk help babies in underdeveloped countries survive.

It's a good thing I don't need to look when I type... most of my keys don't have any letters left on them!

makes it rather hard for ross to use the puter though

Hey did anyone think that guys really have to be taught about babies, when I was growing up I was so busy with sports and school this was the farthest thing from my mind.

I thought a baby shower was a small shower that you washed a baby in!
