Soyjoy bar review

 I received a free sample SoyJoy berry bar from walmart.

While I can't complain about anything free, I must say that I will never go out an purchase a SoyJoy bar.  It was anything but joyful.

The ingredients list looked normal enough - all stuff I could recognize, like soybean powder, berries and red bean paste.

The bar itself did look like the product pictured on the package - a square log resembling a cookie in texture.

The taste, however, was abhorrent.  The flavor was somewhat like a bad health food bar (with distinct raisin overtones) and the texture ranged from woody to gritty.  My husband took one bite and announced that it was "an ill-conceived food ration". 

This is one case where the free sample definitely influenced my decision about purchasing the product - I decidedly won't be buying this!
