It's a chilly Autumn morn
It's just the break of dawn
The sunlight shyly flickers through
The trees, this autumn morn
The browns and golds and rusts of Fall
Don't match my winter blues
Yet clever daybreak sneaks softly in
While Earth sleeps soundly through
How could there be confusion now?
With music in my soul
Yet Autumn strums as morning sings
Its gentle tune of "Joe."
Note: Joe's birthday was July 11. I didn't forget; I NEVER forget. I have been ill, believe it, or not, and when we engage in conversation, we ENGAGE INTENSELY. I didn't have the stamina this particular July 11.
We've been long time good friends, and, I hope, lifetime friends.
Joe is -- by far -- the most talented musician I have ever known, or at least one of two. You may purchase his music at eBay or Amazon.com.

Joe, for those who know about the Roman Catholic Church, is a minister in the Church which is the position immediately beneath the priest. He directs the Ensemble in his local church, and he LOVES it. He is the neatest person. I love him immensely.
I'll have to go back now and purchase a cd. Soothes the Soul!
Thanks, Nalita!
Is he still teaching at UC of Berkeley? My cousin coaches there at the University, maybe they know each other??
Well, he said something most people wouldn't have the nerve to say, but it was so genuine, so simple and from the heart. I feasted on his words for months afterwards. Plus he included the words ...because I love you. He's a true friend.
I am kind to everyone, and I did play the tag game with o'Jay. I picked #5.
Criminal (lol)
Don't tell him I said that he seems to be sensitive, and I am just teasing him.
True. There is something very special about him, as you said a "special someone." He and I will be lifetime friends, for he knows loyalty and he knows the meaning and depth of true friendship. He is a winner. He is optimistic. He brings light into every life he comes into contact with; maybe that's the musician in him -- I don't know, but I love him so. Every time I read this poem I feel a sense, a feeling of such calm and peace. Autumn is my favorite time of year for some reason, and Joe is my favorite type of person.
Thanks, Lewis. I would be interested, especially based on your style of writing to understand why you selected these particular poems to read. Very intriguing.
