Storms brewing in the north,
Clouds of anger and unhappiness always,
Roiling, churning, twisting, spewing
Lightening strikes conveying destruction.
Dark gloomy skies stretching, reaching,
Billowing south toward my tender heart.
Distant acknowledged thunder recognized,
By futile, powerless attempts, impeding its path.
Beating back, exhausted, stumbling, falling,
Surrendering the storm to life’s lessons knowing His
Rain must follow; washing, refreshing, cleansing
Souls, before new growth appears.

Beautiful poem!
This would have been nice to see at "For the Sake of Peace"...
Joe - Amen!!
Lynn, I love this and what a descriptive poem about the storms we all face. Brava!
It is so true, and a good reminder when we are going through the storms of life.
