Oh my! I do not consider myself a major television viewer. Most current TV programming leaves me begging for a lobotomy or at least serious meds to numb the pain it causes. I do have to say I have some real favorites as far as the new shows go, though. Most of the really good stuff isn't on regular channels, at least my three picks for MUST SEE TV!
First on my MUST SEE LIST:
The Closer - On TNT, a great cop show with a talented ensemble cast headed by Kyra Sedgwick. The writing is clever, the stories are compelling, the characters are real and ring true. The character development is wonderful and makes each of the members of the team interesting in their own right.

Kyra Sedgwick is such a delight as Brenda Lee Johnson, a tough-as-nails CIA trained LAPD interragator with a Georgia peach accent and lady-like manners that disarm the criminals she's trying to catch and the audience as well. Check it out for yourselves. Thank you! Thank you so much!
The second on my MUST SEE LIST--
Burn Notice ~
On USA, this is a really entertaining, hip, cool show with great actors who are fun to watch. They have great chemistry and the shows are shot in an intriguing way that keeps the audience on our toes. When Michael Westen flashes that devilish grin you know things are going to get interesting!

And third on my MUST SEE LIST --
Eureka --
This is SciFi's second season for Eureka, the Smartest Little Town in America. If you haven't caught the ads for this show, they in themselves are clever and funny and so firmly tongue-in-cheek as take-off on Home Shopping shows.

The first show of this season has tied off some loose ends from the last season's "big-bang" ending and opened up some interesting plot options and character development as roles change a bit and the back-stories take on a darker shadowing.

Burn Notice has only had two episodes I think, so you are still very early on in the run if you want to catch it. And USA has been running the earlier episodes several times for those that missed it first time around.
Eureka is just starting it's 2nd season and as far as I know isn't on DVD.... yet! Hopefully soon, though.
There are very few people who have a "true" regional accent that doesn't deviate unless they've been in the same place surrounded by the same people all the time. I know lots of people from other countries and lived in other places for years who retain the accent they started with as children, but over time the accent changes subtly. I've never had a specific accent of ANY type, moving about as I did, but after being in an area for a while, my speech will take on slight changes.
Monk on USA
Psych on USA
The 4400 on USA
The Dead Zone on USA
Big Brother on CBS
America's Got Talent on NBC
and Traveller on ABC.
Yes, I do watch too much TV! LOL!
