What is your favorite awwww moment when breastfeeding?

When she pulls off just to give me a great big grin!

I always loved it when they'd rest their little hand on the top of my breast while nurshing. And then of course them falling asleep!

I love when she lays her hand there too! And sometimes she holds it or strokes it lovingly. It's so sweet.

My daughter's name is Natalie :)

I don't know if this is an awww moment but it was certainly a nice feeling to be able to put my daughters in bed with me and just let them breastfeed themselves whilst I slept on my side holding them. It was a nice thing to be able to co-sleep with them.

Oh, the joy of being able to nap while nursing! That is great! All of those are great; the smiles, the sleeping babies, the comfort. Some of my kids would make noises when they were eating, like yum, yum, yum -- it was very funny.

I enjoyed all moments of nursing also! I agree with everyones moments!

Oh I REALLY enjoyed nursing them right after they were born! They are not sure what they are doing and the feeling you get when that realize how to do it and they are soo tiny and yeah Thats my fav! lol great topic by the way

I think it's so funny when she "talks" to it when I take too long getting ready (like the bra snaps take a little time). She'll get on and make mumbling sounds like "why'd you take so long!?!". hehe it's soooo cute!

The funniest moments were when she was a newborn and she would makes these noises like a Swedish porn star -- Ohhh! Ahhh!! when she was nursing. It just cracked us up.

oh my - just about everything about nursing is just magical. The little hand on the breast is just adorable. Falling asleep on the boob is just sweet. The milky grin makes your heart melt. And those little moaning noises are a hoot. And side-lying nursing, ooooo, it's just what the sleep-deprived mama desperately needs.
But I think my 2-year old son wins the prize this month. I sat down to breastfeed my daughter (5 months), and my son comes up, says "Gulk! Gulk!" (milk, milk), and tries to hand-express milk out of my breast like he's seen me do!

I love it when my son strokes my breast and makes yumming noises. He always makes me laugh when he mumbles to it or guzzles. Like I was starving him or something. I also just love the overall bonding feeling about the whole thing.

My favorite awwwwwwww moment was when I yelled awwwwwww because he bit me! No really my favorite was when he would play with my rings when he would nurse and he still does....

I would have to say all of the above along with the hanging on my bra & playing with the little ribbon in the middle! Oh I have a cute story of when I was breastfeeding in front of my friends 4 year old daughter (at the request of my friend cause she was about to have another baby...wanted her daughter to be used to it...and I was staying with them while I was in town...). I got done feeding my daughter & my friend's daughter says, "Can I see your stomach again?" And another thing she told her mom & then her mom told me was, "I think it is so neat how she carries her baby's milk around with her everywhere she goes..." Awwwww kids are adorable! Oh & I have a picture of my son just after he was done nursing alseep with a milky face & a satisfied look...I like to title that one, "Got Milk?" LOL

Oh the thing with the stomach question wasn't because she saw my stomach it was because she thought that was how I fed my daughter...through my stomach LOL! I thought I would clarify that :o)

Some moments we just cherish the most as moms. And that is definitely one of them! When they look at us and smile... and just those innocent looks are great bonding measures. ;)

My fondest memory was with my oldest son at the hospital his first feeding. The nurse says " now he may not take to it right away." and he snorted and took right to breast feeding like he was a pro. I love telling this story to his kids.
