Christian Fiction, and the Bible and study materials

I love reading. I'll read just about anything. I love fiction, though, especially when it's based on historical accuracy.

Non-fiction all the way, unless it is James Michener.

Books. Goodness I couldn't get through a day without a book. I have books stashed in my car, kitchen, bedroom, and stacked on the table next to the window. I love Ray Bradburry. I could read his stories every day. I love Jean M. Aul (the Cavebear series) and anything by Tony Morrison. If you suggest a book to me, I will read it eventually. Fiction, biography, it doesn't matter. Just read.

I love to read, it helps relax me enough to fall asleep at night. I especially enjoy mystery, suspense, horror, true life crimes and anything that peeks my interest.

There are 8 books currently on my bedside table. I'm reading at least 5 of them simultaneously. I just grab whatever I'm in the mood for. Some are fiction, some non-fiction. A friend turned me on to Gather and I'm here mostly to read. I'll read magazines, digests, hell, the backs of cereal boxes. Whatever I can get my hands on.

I love to read...and I read just about anything...waiting for the new HP book currently.

I love to read also. I like historical fiction and mysteries probably the best. Also love true life travel stories.

I love to read when I can actually find the time. My favorite author is Danielle Steel but I love reading about real life things such as the way people deal with real life situations etc.

Reading is alright...I have just about every Dean Konntz book there is, and I also like John Sandford, (the Prey books), oh and James Patterson too!!

I forgot to mention though, since I have gotten my comouter two years ago, my books seem to be collecting dust...it's a shame, I know, but I just can't help it!

I love to read and usually have a book with me wherever I go ... I am currently reading "The Book Of The Dead" by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child ... I read a lot of mystery books. I have wayyyyy to many authors that I like to list but I am always open to new writers ... the book I am currently reading was recommended (author wise) by a customer where I work ... I get lost in book ... it is cool when a book I have read becomes a movie ... like to see if hollywood measures up to my imagination.

I love to read. In fiction I like reading mystery, legal and sometimes romance novels (fi they aren't to cheesey). FOr non- fiction books I love reading about art, marketing, design, theatre and psychology.

I also love reading any type of magazines about fashion, decorating, design or architecture.

Historical fiction and mysteries usually.

I love to read just about anything I can get my hands on

I love all of Anne Rice's books--Vampire lore. The classics, fantasy like Harry Potter and anything by Tolkien. I love history. It was my major in college. Anything from the ancient to MOdern Middle Eastern history and Europe from the Middle Ages- Reformation-Renaissance-Enlightenment-Industrial Revolution-to now. Irish history is dear to my heart as well as British and the French Revolution is a big love of mine too!

I love to read but my eyes tire before my mind does usually. I enjoy historical fiction
and Bible studies.

Lots of book lovers, that is cool! I am not alone in my book-induced daze! I love to read though I have cut down since I spend more time on the Internet and I end up watching a lot more TV with my family since I live with them now. I like reading mysteries that have humor like the Stephanie Plum series. I usually like a hint of magic in stories too. I like romantic mysteries or suspense, sometimes straight romance are too too much gooey sugar love stuff. I like some vampire and shape-shifter stories like the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series, Sookie Stackhouse series, Vampire Queen Betsy series. I like the In Death series by J.D. Robb AKA Nora Roberts. I read most things that Nora Roberts writes since generally I find her books to be very good. She has a few stinkers but not many! I like decorating magazines, horse magazines, parenting magazines [for tips on helping to raise my daughter's three sons]. I will read most anything that is left on a table or chair next to me [or in the book basket in the bathroom LOL]. If its there and its a book or magazine, chances are I will pick it up and end up reading it. I also read my favorite horse stories from when I was growing up and some that I never had the chance to read, so I am catching up on my reading from when I was a kid!

When I get bored of current day books, I turn to novels of the past which I own, such as Main Street by Upton Sinclair, Pearl Buck books (all of them) so full of folk wisdom, now I am rereading Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain, I have tried it several times, found it a bit boring at times, but now i am really concentrating a nd getting a vision how life was for well-to-do Americans in 1867. It gives one a glimpse into that time period. If you like travelling you can travel along with them!

Yes. I read mostly non-ficrion -- science and politics. Currently Al Gore's "The Assault on Reason," and Jared Diamond's "The Third Cimpanzee." I also like science-fiction, but not as much as in the day of the immortals -- Asimov, Heinlein and Clarke.

I love reading books on spirituality

I can read anything as long as it is not technical.

I LOVE reading and find that my commute has become an enjoyable part of my day if I have a good book with me. I like fun books that take me away from the real world...lots of "Chick Lit" and Harry Potter, Sex and the City type stuff. I also like fiction books about New York. I'm starting a book this afternoon called FOREVER by Pete Hamill. Through the eyes of one man, the story takes the reader through New York City from the time it was nothing up until the present. We see how NYC has evolved. I also have on my pile a book called Seven Loves by Valerie Trueblood about an 80 or 90 year old woman and the history of her love life!

Historical, science fiction ( S.M. Sterling, Peter Hamilton), historical fiction(David L. Robins), westerns(William W. Johnstone), horticultural, horror,(Stephen King, Clive Barker)Thriller/mystery(Stephen Hunter, Tom Clancy), men's adventure(William W. Johnstone) military history. I also read the Bible and Christian Fiction.

Anything, as long as it is well-written. Recently published books of this nature are harder to find than in the past. Seems everyone is viewed an "author" nowadays if they can get someone to publish their writings.

Just finished one of the best memoirs I've ever read, The Liar's Club, by Mary Karr. It puts me in mind of Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton, not in it's subject matter but in the way that Ms. Karr has a unique, almost a poetical style of writing. Reading both of these books was like savoring a rich culinary treat - I ended up reading paragraphs over and over again because they were so beautifully written.

I've always got a book handy! I read almost exclusively fiction. Darn near any subject matter. Also read cereal boxes

I read just about anything I can get my hands on. I typically read classics, but seem to have a lot of current fiction thrown in. I just finished Jude the Obscure, by Thomas Hardy....sad.

Now I am moving on to a non-fiction book called 1929. Obviously, it is about the crash and what ws going on in that year.

For current fiction I go for mystery and suspense.

I love to read. I read mainly romance. But will switch to others from time to time.

I read every night before bed. I am currently reading "Men in Kilts" by Katie MacAlister. I love all her stuff. My favorite type of book would be historical romance, especially those set in Ireland, Scotland, and England.

I also read horse magazines, women's magazines, cookbooks, and gardening magazines.

I also have quite a collection of kid's books, to read with my grandkids. The "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" series, "Olivia" series, Pony Pal series, and Wishbone series are my favorites. I'm always on the lookout for Marguerite Henry books, as well. They were my favorites when I was a kid. My granddaughter loves to look at books, and we both love horses, so any book with a horse or pony ends up on my shelves.

I always have a book. I read every day. Right now I am reading Blaze, I'm almost finished.

Reading is my favorite hobby of all. I like fantasy fiction the most, but will read just about anything expect romance or war/political/spy/espionage thrillers.

I like reading! I don't have a lot of time for it. At work sometimes I will make time ny reading between phone calls! I really don't have any favorites. I like just about anything. Most of the things I read are by recomendation.

I love to read. Mostly fiction, James Patterson, Sandra Brown, Richard North Patterson, either Kellerman but I also read online newspapers and some magazines, will read mostly anything.

I'm terrified of being caught somehwere without a book.. or three. I have one to read at lunch and more in my car.

Reading has become very enjoyable over these last few years, I truly enjoy reading the scriptures of the Bible being in God's word. I have also enjoyed reading articles here on Gather!

I love to read Christian books, Love stories, romance (not the ugly sex, sex sex kind). I have written one book and am writing the sequel to it, also am working of a childrens book.

I am a certified Reading Junky. I read all types of fiction plus some non-fiction which has to do with reading, writing, popculture,and religion. Right now, I am reading Harry Potter 2

I love historical literature, and autobiographies. I also love the poetry of Tennyson and Goethe... and books on Christianity. These days I prefer non-fiction over fiction.

I love to read! Mostly True Crime stuff!
