Oddly, I suspect those who game with me would have assumed I was actually Lawful Evil, but that is only in my incarnation as a DM. But according to this HIGHLY ACCURATE AND EXTREMELY UNOFFICIAL D&D alignment test, I am, in fact true neutral. According to my test results:
"Plane of Existence: The Outlands, "Plane of Concordant Opposition". Description: The plane between all other outer planes.

True Neutral "Pure Neutral"
"Balancer"
Some neutral [people] commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They are of the true neutral alignment as described in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
A true neutral [person] sees good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. He advocates the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run.
Some true neutral [people] actively support balance in the world, and seek to avoid having any one side, law or chaos, good or evil, become too powerful over them or anyone else, and will work against whichever side is the most powerful. They tend to side with the underdog in any situation, and are often opportunistic in their actions.
True neutral is committed to the avoidance of extremes, and is non-judgemental"

No, really. Batman and the Punisher aren't anywhere near Neutral in alignment (Frank might be classified as Neutral Good, and yes, I really am this much of a geek). While Scott Evil is clearly Chaotic (though he may be rebelling against his father rather than the "legitimate" power structure he is opposing a lawful order... I mentioned that I'm a giant geek, right?)
Hmm... I seem to have come out as Chaotic Neutral. Nope, never saw that one coming....
Yeah, I think a much better idea of true nuetral would have been Karla from Lodoss Wars (yes...anime geek here). Karla was the queen of true nuetral, to the point that she would rather release Kardis than let the side of good get too strong.
I think it is just hard to find examples of true neutral in most pop culture.
but all in good fun!
