Strange Parting

She left him without a reason

With an air of studied indifference

 

He didn't ask the reason

As he knew not would be forthcoming

 

But she knew and he knew

That  if she ever changed her heart

 

Because it was a heart decision not a head decision

That all she need do was reach out
