I think I go to J.K. Rowling's very own website to have all my questions answered. At least all the questions she wants to answer!

Snape DID kill Dumbledor in book 6, so it would make sence about him and Voldy!! lol... I heard today too that there mioght be a book 8, but I dunno... I hope so.. I LOVE these books...

Sorry I think it needs to end. I love the books but Maybe J.K. Rowling has another adventure to take us on.

What about Harry dying in this next book? That would truly make it the end. I heard another rumor that Snape is Voldemort. That would be insane, & if that were true then why wouldn't he have killed Harry off already?

Ok, Tan - whoever told you that rumor that Snape is Voldemort is obviously not hitting on all 8 cylinders.

Dumbledore knows Severus Snape. He trusts him. He trusts him to the point of allowing him INSIDE Harry's head to try and teach him occlumency.

Dumbledore knows Tom Riddle. He was his teacher - he was, in fact, the one who brought Tom to Hogwarts.

Do you seriously believe Dumbledore would allow Voldemort to get inside Harry's head?

I am eager to see what will happen, but seriously don't think Harry will die. The main reason is money to be honest. How many people will buy the books in the future for their kids or grandkids if the hero dies in the last book? How many children's tales have you seen where that happens? The other thing is the movies. There are two more to go. Want to make a guess as to how successful they will be if Harry dies at the end? Would you go see them?

For those and many other reasons, personally I don't believe Harry dies.

Ok, let me put a stop to these rumors. No, there WON'T be an 8th book, so stop. In the British system, we only have 7 years of high school, and that's it! So, this is obviously Harry's last year of school, year 7, and he graduates. Whether or not he dies, it's not important. If he does, Rowling has a very good reason to do it. If you like to understand more of such a notion, please watch "Stranger Than Fiction." Adieus!

I'm hoping that Harry won't die - I don't think I'd be satisfied with the ending unless Harry got to grow up and have his own family (likely with Ginny Weasley). I do see why an author would be tempted to give the character finality so that others won't be tempted to write the 'further adventures of Harry Potter' unofficially or otherwise. It is possible that she summarizes his life at the end and he dies an old man? That's the only way it would be satisfying for me. I do hope the Voldemort/Death Eater situation is finito at the end though - by whatever means. I still think Snape is on the Order's side. I think he had no other choice than to kill Dumbledore due to the curse on him and risking his double-agent status for insider information being lost for good. I think he'll resurface with information valuable to the Order in bringing down Voldemort in the final hour (but will they trust him to use it?) That's the real question. Can't wait for the book. I've had it preordered for months now...

I heard somewhere that Harry does not die but Haggard does in this last book.

Joan - I don't believe Dumbledore would allow Voldemort inside Harry's head or anywhere near Harry. But I don't trust Snape. Here's hoping I'm wrong about Snape but I just dunno about him.
Christopher - Have you read 'Stranger than Fiction'? Haven't watched the movie yet. And I'm pretty sure this 7th book will be the last.
Actually some deaths if they happen wouldn't surprise me...like Snape, Hagrid being killed. If Harry dies that would suck & piss me & I'm sure a mass of readers off.

My thoughts: Harry lives, Voldy dies, Snape is good and I hope he gets to live! Now I have doubts that Ron will survive unfortunately and I have some doubts about Hagrid. But I'm hoping I'm wrong about those 2 and right about Harry, Voldy and Severus!

Well not much longer till we all find out. I work at a bookstore & the day of the release is gonna be chaotic. There was a customer who was cursing out one of my co-workers because she had to have the book at exactly midnight but we weren't allowed to let anyone inside. People get a little crazy. I love the books but I'm not a fanatic to lose my marbles over them.

Well, Harry has to die because he's a horcrux. What's really going to be mindblowing is when it's revealed he's not the chosen one.

You've forgotten that Dumbledor kept saying alot of wizards split their souls into two but Voldemort split his soul into too many pieces. I think Malfoy is going to be killed when he tries to save Harry.

Mister Christopher, most of us understand that the British only have 7 years of school. Yet, there may be a chance of us seeing the lives out side of school.What Harry, Ron, Hermione might do after they graduate from Hogwarts if they all servive. Ever since Harry learned of auras (sp), he has been eager to try and become one. Jk has pushed that very hard and even gives gateways for Harry to get there, in the sixth book, all of the sudden Snape is not in charge of potions where before he only excepted students who only had O's. There is the possiablity that the final battle will not be at Hogwarts. The fith book we landed the the department of mysteries, the fourth book in a cemetary. Yes we do end up back at the school some way or another, but the 7th gives potential for anything.

Right on Shadow. Mary doesn't Harry himself has a strong connection to Voldemort. Maybe the connection through his scar is a clue to fatality. That or he'll end up with a bigger scar, not necessarily physical if Harry survives. I can't wait to read the last book...suspense is killing me.

i kinda hope Percy dies. hes such a snob! anyway ive heard the twins are going to die. I do not think harry will die. While i think snape isnt really good, i dont think hes loyal to voldemort.

Ok that's a new one, the twins dying. I like them & their pranks. I'm leaning towards agreeing with you about Snape. He's no Harry Potter fan, but maybe he knows true evil in Voldemort.

I think it is possiable for one of the twins to die but not both. The Weasly's are just such a family that should not be broken up but the thing with percy is difficult to cope with. I think he will play a larger scale part in this next book then we think. He has proven useful to the new minister of magic by getting through the family to Harry, using himself as a distraction. I hope that Percy will wake up from lala land and realize that being with his family will be the best. Yes he is a weird character and a person we could all dislike but growing up the way he did I can see why he did the things he did. His father refused to go up the latter in the ministery even though the family is low in money because he enjoyed his work. Percy hates this and hates not being in the spot light. I think that IF percy does die, that he will be able to reconnect with his parents and family one last time on Mrs. Weasly's benifit if not for his own.

I think death will be what finally wakes Percy up. But then it will be too late. I think he's felt sorry for himself and makes it up by pretending importance and he does have a purpose to serve.

To Carolyn G.: I personally don't think J.K. does it for money; besides, she worked on the last chapter first, so she didn't change it. Plus, she's already one of the top richest people in the world. So with all that said, there's really no need for her to keep Harry alive, if she really wanted to kill him...

I agree with you Ashley. I don't think she ever imagined the books would become so popular. She'll never have to worry about money indeed.

This will certainly be the end of the harry potter series she has made that absolutely clear. But she has never said she wouldn't write new adventures for potential children of harry's. In a way I'm glad she is making this the last book where harry is center stage and somehow constantly finding new enemies. It would be like beating a dog after it's dead to make a book 8 about him. However I'd love to see books about harry's children since she has left that an open possibility.

Well tonight's the big night. We'll find out how it finally ends after midnight.
