Did I Misunderstand?

I like to play the games that people post. Many times I am up late at night, no one else is giving answers and I give a stream of answers. If one looked at my comments you would see the answers are rapid, as fast as I can work the computer. I thought the people who posted the games did that to entertain and to make points.  I find it a challenge to give as many answers as I can. I didn't think I was bothering anyone. It's a game!

I just clicked on a game I play daily and the instructions now say one post per person. I posted one but I am confused. It is a challenge for me to see how many I can name.  I do it for fun. I don't need to do this, I have plenty of puzzles to do and I know my IQ. I see no reason to participate if I can only post one answer. I understand one answer per post. I really thought the person would appreciate the points. I guess not.

Please tell me, did I break some unspoken ettiquette here? If no one else was posting what was the harm? I had a lot of fun when one game was naming old pre 1980 tv shows. There were several of us typing away furiously naming shows and it was great. I had fun to see what the others came up with.

Please share your thoughts with me.

I agree with you Heather...I love the challenge of the game.....
If I can only post one answer,then the heck with it,it's not worth my time.

I'm pretty new, but my interpretation, too, is that it's all about entertainment and points. The only thing close to "rules" on it that I've seen is this: http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976826714

and that's just the funniest how-to on point whoring I've ever read. ;)

i totally agree the games are, and should be, for fun. and i, too, believed, most trivia, etc. games were open to as many, or as little number of posts one wished to make. to limit the # the posts would defeat the competitive nature of the game. absent the tag games, the trivia ones should be open to all and for as many posts as one wants. perhaps u might contact the "owner" of the game to clarify.

Thanks everybody for your comments! It was Lora's pink game I was talking about. If you look at her previous colors I put in tons of answers and then today it says one per person. I thought maybe I was missing something and maybe someone got ticked off at my eagerness to give answers. If it says one answer then I'm skipping it from now on. Next I am going to the where Lune directed to read rules, it sounds like fun!

What they probably meant was "one post per comment box". If someone posting a game claims it's one post per person, find another game! The heck with them!

Lora contacted me and it was a mistake. Angela is this true of all multiple comments to an article? Where would I find this out? I thought I was giving points, I wouldn't want to impact other people from getting points. Please let me know, Thank you!

I also see the same answers by different people. I never thought nothing about multple posts or same answers except''''Darn, why didn't I think of that?"
It's a game. games suppose to be fun. Let's keep it fun and just keep playing. Kay?

When I put up a game I appreciate all posts, as many as you like, but I do like it when only one answer per post is recognized. If someone wants just one post per person, i'll make a post but usually won't go back.
