I have transcribed Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont, NC.
There are over 3800 people buried in the cemetery. I started transcribing 5 yrs ago. I went several times a month for a couple of hours in the morning. I use Family Tree Maker for my database. This has been great fun. My favorite gravesite is that of In Memoriam:
Will Frank Latimer, Jr
Capt 21st Bomber Command
US Army Air Force
June 12, 1919
Missing in Action
Feb 14, 1945
At foot of headstone:
Body recovered in Japan Oct 1, 1947
Re-interred Aug 21, 1949
I just recently had a write up in the local newspaper(Belmont Banner).
If anyone has a Belmont or North Carolina ancestor, I may be able to help.
Anita

Have you ever heard of CemEditor cemetery trascription software? It a program especially designed for cemetery trahscritions. It also has some neat add-on features like being able to make a book from your records or upload them to a webpage or save to CD. This is the software that I use.(I'm only a user an not affiliated with the company that sells it.) You can check out their products at http://www.ovs-genealogy.com/ Hope that helps! On to the next cemetery! ;-) Best of Luck!
PS: You might consider checking into possible publication with Heritage Books. I came across their website while searching for a book and your transcription might be something they would be interested in. I haven't checked them out myself but you never know! :-) Their website is http://www.heritagebooks.com/publishing.html
