July fourth is possibly the most important holiday of the year for my dad's family. Everyone gathers up in Old Forge, NY at High Camp (a large cabin that used to be part of an Adirondack resort) for a big party. And the most important part of the party is the FOOD!

It takes a long time to get ready for this kind of party. Everyone has to do their part. (My part was taking photos to document the event.)

This is just the side dishes! Veggies and dip, pasta salads, fruit and deviled eggs.

The main dishes this year were seafood. Old Bay shrimp boil (my foavorite!) and steamed clams...

And fried clam and crab fritters!

Clam chowder here! It was very tasty!

You can't have a successful July fourth party without drinks. There were large coolers full of bottles and people were making mixed drinks too. Bloody Mary anyone?

This is my dad. He toasts you and invites you all up next year!

What's a meal without dessert? Cookies, brownies, doughnuts and cakes.

There's something for everyone - even the little ones.

And after that much food, you need a nap!
