Gather Down

I've come home from my night

Out on the town

turned on my computer

And with that put on a frown

Low and behold,

Gather is down

What will I do now

This is not in my plan

I must use every moment

The best that I can

No Gather to read

and comment upon

What will my friends think

They will think I have gone

But no, that won't happen

Because it is down for them too

So I sit here and type

This message for you

I missed you last night

I'll be up until dawn

thinking and writing

Stifling a yawn

Why can't Gather update

Their site at some time

when all are not here

Would that be a crime?

I wonder when that would be...seems like there is always someone awake on Gather! What drove me crazy was waking up to no articles because they couldn't be posted in the night. Such a cute poem.

Well, I am almost ashamed of this poem, lol, no Rob, I was with my family seeing my #5 new great grand baby for the first time, and yes I didn't know what to do with myself, so wrote this thing pouting, lol. Thanks every one.

Congrats on the new great grandbaby! I hope you had a nice time getting acquainted! I was at a family reunion for the day and came home to no Gather. The horror! So I went to bed. I should've stayed up writing poetry, like you! lol

I felt rather relieved Gather was down. I listened to Art Bell's final program on Coast To Coasr, cleaned my e-mail from 297 messages to 148 messages and listened to some Frank Zappa. Did not write last night. Hey, that rhymes, but I'm out of time. Must visit the graveyard soon to honor my dad and brother.
