Bridal Veil Falls - Yosemite - 2007

It has been so hot today I thought I would take you on a trip with some refreshing pictures of a trip up to Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite Park from March of this year.

These pictures are taken at the base of
Bridal Veil Falls where you can see a deer that has come down from the frosty heights in search of food.

Further up you begin to see signs of a snowfall from earlier in the day.

Notice some of the pictures appear to be black and white when in fact these are color photographs.

The snow and color of the rocks give off the illusion of it being in black and white.

Approaching the falls you have a great scenic view from the distance.

It is about here that you begin to be able to hear the rush of the falls and you can feel a difference to the crispness and a fresher scent in the air.

From the top of Bridal Veil Falls the clouds quickly roll in right before a new snowfall will begin, the temperature drops even lower with a delicious chill that turns your nose
and cheeks a holiday red with a slight sting on your cheeks and ears as you catch a view of El Capitan on the next ridge.

The altitude brings an uncontrollable giggle
to your lips making you feel carefree like as
a child embarking on a new adventure while
you hold hands and admire the glorious view.

Nightfall looms nearby as it is about to draw it's cloak around the Falls area and it's time
to venture back down before it gets too dark.

With a deep happy sigh and a hug you turn to go ...
