How anyone cannot see that J.K.'s intention is to have Harry be the final Horcrux, I do not know! If you read OOTP and HBP very carefully, you will see the only explanation of their connection is the Horcrux theory. Firstly, I see some people refute the idea because they say in the beginning Voldemort could not touch Harry. Well, that has a seperate explanation. Lily's sacrifice and love(somehow connected through her blood ties to him) are the reasons Voldemort cannot touch Harry. His aversion to love and family cause his inability to touch Harry. That is why when he has Harry's blood, finally he can touch Harry. Think about it this way: the underlying message of Harry Potter is that our choices make us who we are. Look at the similarities between Harry and Voldemort. Both orphans, both magical beings raised by people who do not particularly understand or love them. However, even though in my opinion, Harry has it worse. In the orphanage, Voldemort would have at least been surrounded by children in the same predicament(poor and parentless) orphanage staff would not necessarily (from what we saw in HBP) be hell bent on making him miserable as the Dursleys do to Harry. Yet, Harry turns out good. This is key to understanding Harry Potter.
My evidence is this:
1) In OOTP when Harry sees his visions (the snake attacking Mr. Weasley and Voldemort talking to Rookwood) he sees these visions as though he is the snake, as though he is Voldemort. Those scenes, in my opinion are the strongest suggestion of my theory.
2) He can feel Voldemort's feelings *Ding, DIng* Bells should be going off here!
3) More than Avada Kedavra happened in Godric's Hollow. We know no marks or signs of conflict are left when that spell is performed, yet the house was destroyed.
4) When Harry has the first vision (about Mr. Weasley and the snake) Dumbledore uses an instrument that shows two snakes intertwining and he makes a comment "...in essence divided..."
There are many more clues, but I have taken up too much space as it is..to find out more, just reread OOTP and HBP, it's all there!!
