I liked this boy in seventh grade
I knew he liked me too
The looks we gave each other
the smiles we would trade
There came a birthday party
We were both invited to
We played spin the bottle
Please let it land on Marty
Round and round that bottle went
Eagerly I watched it
Slowing down, almost stopped
My eyes a message sent
It didn't stop where I wanted it to
But the boy was shy and nice
So we puckered up our little lips
A quick kiss but then who knew
I was in love with another boy
A kiss was all it took
How many times I played that game
More kisses, youth, such joy

Love your poem, Elsie.
Anyway, my daughter is 13 now, and is this poem ever true! : |
A very very cute one here!
Thank you!
Sorry I haven't been around much. This working all evening and baby sitting all day really cuts into my Gather time. After Tuesday evening, I will have 9 days off from the hospital so can be here a little more.
