Ever since my oldest child was born, we have been deluged with friends' gifts of toys, clothes, etc. I feel very lucky to have this "problem," because it's wonderful to receive hand-me-downs as well as new things for your family and children. That being said, sometimes it becomes an ongoing challenge to keep mess under control with all of this stuff. Many a donation has made its way to other needy parents, kids, and/or been sent to Goodwill, but it's still hard to keep up with the sheer volume of stuff we accumulate in relatively short order.
Not to mention the fact that we often receive broken things that really should have been sent to the dump rather than our house. How do I put my foot down?

And read my novel Hollywood Sinners - and then pass that along, too. It would be a hoot to someday see my own novel in a yard sale box for a nickle!!!! That's when you know you've made it - haha
