Well - it's time for a different twist just to make sure everyone's working and thinking. The three anonymous judges will work like this:
Judge level 3 will select semi-finalists and make a comment about why they were selected.
Judge level 2 will select three finalists from the list Judge 3 puts up.
Judge level 1 will select the one winner from the three Judge 2 puts up.
Hopefully, this will not permit favoritism unless all three judges think you're the favorite . . . :)
Each judge will have the option to move up one level or drop off for the next challenge. Thanks now for the volunteers in judging and the members for the photography work.
This challenge will be open for all entries and closed for judging on August 3rd. Please submit your entries to the IPC Group with IPC as a Tag. The previous Challenge entries are going to be removed from the group (only) so that the entries you see (and that the judges have to look through) will be the Photos for the current challenge only. Judges will be submitting photos too - but they are restricted from selecting their own photos so they cannot win . . . though this way, they CAN play a bit and see what the other judges and people might have thought! :)
Now for the theme. I've decided to really test the creativity of this talented group and really make the judge's job difficult. Our Group should be 'Intense' AND a 'Challenge'. Let's see the creativity fly as you emphasize "Glass using light and shadow". Colored glass, eye glasses, drinking glasses, glass eyes, bottles, models . . . oooops . . . scratch models (unless they're glass) . . .
The judges will be looking for Glass using Light and Shadow . . . originality . . . composition . . . or just different and they like it. These judges are just you and I kinda' people . . . members looking at shots and honestly choosing what they like. Not necessarily professional photographers or artists, though they may be . . . While I fully intend to play - I'm not judging or getting selected . . . . I'm in it for the fun!
Judges . . . expect a private message tomorrow!

since i won the last one, i will not post entries this time around....have a lot on my plate currently,too.....look forward to what everyone comes up with....
cheers,gayle
The only thing I mentioned in the article was that the tag IPC must be listed. The ONLY directions given are "Glass using light and shadow". I can't give any more directions than that . . . since that is the only thing judges will be using. I can tell you that - personally - mirrors are glass and reflections are light (or shadow) . . . uhhhh . . . or both. But I assure you I'm not a judge. Hope that helps. :)
