I am, frankly, not much better at photography than I am at drawing; but I love making graphics on the computer. A few years ago when I was trying to come up with original flower images to use in computer graphics, I stumbled across the site of a man with hundreds of scanned flowers. I tried this, hoping that at last I had found a way to get a flower image in really high resolution. I'm gloing to post a parade of the best of the results. (Three images are attached to this article.)
Just before posting this, I went looking for the site that first gave me the idea -- and found that there are now thousands of people scanning flowers, and making some very advanced art out of the results! I'd better get cracking now and do something with these images. :)
