Good Evening Gather or Audrey's Crazy Coffee Club

Well, the long awaited week-end is here.  Many will be vacationing this next week in connection with the 4th of July holiday.

What plans do you have?  I am going to a jazz festival Saturday, and arts fest Sunday, A chris Rice concert Monday  evening, a free Grand Funk Railroad concert  Tuesday night and parade on Wednesday.  I don't usually go to fireworks as I've seen them many times. I can also see 2-3 different towns displays from my home. 

Tonight I hope we can decide how we want to continue Good Evening Gather.  I won't always be able to start the group and is is my plan when I am home to publish at 7:30 Central time and stay til 8:30, coming back from time to time during the evening.  Several have offered to pitch in and do a stint as host or hostess.

Let's see if we can work something out.

Sit down a spell and have a virtual cold drink and some snacks.  Tell us what is going on in your life.

My idea re: GEG was to make a group and give anyone that's willing admin access to post as the groupname.... that way it would be easier to find than if different people are doing it all the time.... and it would make it easy to see if anyone's started one yet... and if not, to go ahead and just do it

the only thing is that whoever starts the group would get all the points... and my thought is that THAT should be William ...but don't know whether he'd be willing to start the group and set the permissions

We're going to Ohio, then to Virginia I guess...things are changing by the hour. My brother's truck "lost" it's engine in Pennsylvania last night...he didn't make it to Michigan until late today with a very small rental. We need to leave tomorrow to help transport "stuff" to his house and the 3 girls (my daughter and my neices) have a bunch.

The girls all want to ride together, so it looks like the girls will come with me and Mike and Pher will ride with my brother...we have to tow his truck home also.

Snakes, rats, and spiders don't bother me at all...the only thing that does are those 5 inch long cockroaches that drop from trees here (they fly too)...icky, icky, icky.

The areticle that I wrote in support of William was flagged for harrassment. I could not see why as no names were mentioned. I wrote to Gather Sun. night for an explanation and didn't hear from them until today. This is what they replied:

Dear Audrey,

Thanks you for your inquiry, and my apologies for the delay in
response.
This particular article has since been restricted by Gather editorial.

The reason we have done this is because we feel that this article,
although certainly well-intentioned, is still putting into the public
arena a personal issue between Gather and an individual member.

Audrey, same as any other account.... create a new one... then make the group.... give admin access to any potential hosters.... all points would go to that account, and the gift cards it earns could just be donated.... I'm sure Habitat for Humanity could use home depot cards, or just about any childrens' org could use borders cards

This weekend is the Oceanview Festival. It is a carnival! It has rides, food and entertainment. July 4th at Fort Monroe, Tanya Tucker is playing and there are fireworks on Mt Trashmore.

Janet, we called them waterbugs in LA. and TX.. Don't ever live in an apartment in TX. no matter how much they spray they call never kill them, in fact I think it makes them multiply. I've never seen one since we moved to AR.
