NJ Renaissance Faire- last weekend

This is the last weekend of the faire! If you haven't ever been, you should check it out. There are humorous plays for the adults, a puppet show and fairy tales for the kiddies, a living chess game, jousting, singing wenches, and a quest into the Enchanted Forest with a knight and squire for guides, just to mention some of the fun activities. There are children's crafts, merchants, and a variety of foods. It's a smaller faire, but there's lots to do, and the kingdom's inhabitants are very friendly, especially with the kiddies. fileId:3096224744217080;size:full;

It's held at the Tulip Springs area of the South Mountain Reservation in South Orange. (Not far from Turtleback Zoo)

I went to the one they used to have in Somerset a few times. I'll be sure to check out the one at So. Mountain Reservation. It looks like fun!

This looks like a nice place to go. I used to go to fairs a lot when our kids were home and younger, and when my daughter was still with us, it was her favorite place to go. We had one here in Dutchess County, not a Renaissance fair, but just a fair. It was always five or six days long and she went at lost three times.

Never made the NJ Faire, but hit the Maryland RenFest numerous times. My daughter was married at Scarborough Faire in Texas.

I always go to the one in New York that goes on in August/September. I didn't even know that New Jersey HAS a Ren-Faire! I would have loved to go if I had known sooner, but unfortunately this weekend is booked up with birthdays and stuff.
