We are pleased to announce our Frank Zappa Play List Contest! As you may know, Frank Zappa's son Dweezil is going on tour to perform his fathers' greatest hits. The "Zappa Plays Zappa" tour is kicking off in the US in July and we want to give you two tickets to the venue of your choice! (Dates and venues provided below)
Here's how to enter:
1. Join the Entertainment group
2. Create a play list of 5 songs that you think Frank Zappa would love and/or hate and a brief description of why you think so.
3. Simply post the names of your 5 songs and brief descriptions of each in the comment thread of this article. It's that simple!
All entries must be posted by 11:59 pm ET on July 15, 2007. Entries will be judged primarily on the creativity, clarity and originality of the descriptions provided, not just the songs themselves. One winner will be selected and announced in the Entertainment group on July 17, 2007.
Best of luck!

Just wanted to make this perfectly clear before submitting.
1) "Torn Between Two Lovers"
2) "I've Never Been To Me"
3) "Yesterday Once More"
4) "Macarena"
5) "S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night"
Trust me, these songs would rank up at the top of the Zappa vomit meter.
"Cowboy" by Kid Rock
One listen would prompt Frank to immediately to check this guys video out, then as soon as he saw this cocky pop-country-metal slingin guy, he'd declare war on America.
"Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne
Frank just might like this song, after he realizes that this girl is such an 'alliterate conscript' to teenage anti-rebellion.
"Tell The Truth" by Eminem, Mos Def, and Immortal Technique
Frank would LOVE the song due to its anti-establishment view and good use of flow..he was always a flow-master ;)
"Greatest Song In The World - Tribute" by Tenacious D
Frank would hate this song, but I love it. It is a deep commentary on the state of a song once written, forgotten, them recalled...all with the influence of the devil himself!
The "Theme Song To Barney" by Steven White
This is a work that will haunt the more perceptive listener for weeks, maybe months after hearing it. Frank would love it!
1) 'Beauty is Only Skin Deep, but Ugly Goes Clean to the Bone'
2) 'All My Exes Live In Texas'
3) 'At the Gas Station of Love, I Got the Self Service Pump'
4) 'If My Nose Was Running Money, Honey, I'd Blow It All on You"
5)' Cow Cow Boogie (Moo Moo My Love)'
Of course, this stuff is all pretty subjective but I did have a few criteria for what Zappa would absolutely hate!
All these songs make me sick without even listening to them again, I am sure they would also make Zappa sick too.
They make me want to break my radio and I am sure Zappa would break his instruments.
These songs make my stomach turn and would also make Zappa's stomach turn likewise.
These songs bring out violent thoughts of hatred, & revenge, etc.
These songs would make me leave a bar or club if they started playing it as I am sure Zappa would also.
Ultimately these songs suspend my belief in a divine force that governs the universe and the world; and Zappa would not want to be responsible for that.
Thank you to everybody who entered and stay tuned for more upcoming Zappa opportunities!
