Last year on our Young Life trip to Lake Saranac, I seperated my shoulder. For our volleyball costumes, we decided to dress up as wrestlers, and everyone just threw on some tight spandex. Well, my buddy Andy and I decided to go for a mutual clothes line, WWF style, and I took the brunt of it. I ended having to stay out of most activities all week, but the good news is that I have gotten most of my range and strength back.
This year, I've been suffering from a pain in my heel, so I've been looking at this site for heel pain treatment. It's been working gradually, but it seems as if my body is taking longer and longer to recover. I kind of feel like I'm coming to a very sad realization that I have to slow down my athletic activities, or at least back off the intensity. It's similar to what I felt on my last high school baseball game, knowing that a pickup baseball game just doesn't happen, and I would be forced to play softball. If I keep it up, one day I'll have to use a walk in shower because my joints will all be messed up. I don't know, I'm not ready to give in yet.
