What might some people in your neighborhood think if folks saw two men kissing EACH OTHER? Would they be yelled at? Would they be chased away?
Would you feel very embarrassed?
Would you worry for their safety?
Would you feel shock, disgust, anger, or just some vague confusion?
Kissing can be so scandalous!

My neighborhood.. I live in the "hood". I'm sure the couple would get their butts kicked and yes I would be worried for the two, especially if they were both "white". If it were two women, I wouldn't worry at all, I'm sure there would be applause.
I personally wouldn't "feel" anything about it... it's kissing.
Cross species, maybe.
My neighbor to the north would probably say something. But she has something to say about everything.
But I'm strange that way...
Do I kiss my girlfriend in public, yes when I meet herit is a small kiss, and when we know we won't offend anyone. So are same sex couples just doing it to attract attention and push the limits, I bit like a kid in a department store throwing a tantrum, just to seek attention, Would there be respect for them in public if they did it, NO, would they loose more that the kiss gained, Yes, so I really don't see why they would do it.
Quick pecks - commonplace to heterosexual couples - to saliva string, tongue swallowing kisses . . . boy the comments sure ran the gamut . . . using the idea of it being something we've seen heterosexual couples do . . . well . . . I can see the Hollywood sign from here . . . like the SF comment . . . nuff said. LA's big though . . . there's some areas that might have a less chalant attitude . . . heck . . . some areas might be more concerned with what color they were wearing!

I am not offended by, but find mildly annoying ANY display of public affection more erotic than hand-holding by ANY persons, of ANY sexual persuasion, gender or gender choice, etc. other than blood relatives. Get a room!
Relax America, its just a kiss between two consenting adults!
As for me, if that's the worse thing I ever see on my street, I'll be happy! I think perhaps we should worry more about killing on the street than kissing. LOL
Seriously when I was in nursing school and going through some major angst my best friends were two gay couples. In fact I stayed with one couple on occasions when the last bus had gone and I couldn't get home at night, so I have no issue with any one kissing other than getting a little 'squiggy' if they get excessively affectionate...just as I do with heterosexual couples.
My community however, I live in the 'biggest small town in the US' which also happens to be in Texas and I suspect in most neighborhoods I'd be worried that they would get the s**t kicked out of them... sad isn't it?
Love making? It's just a damned kiss...
I find it very telling that so many are uncomfortable with any couple being happy and in love...
If it were full on making out/petting/groping, I would look to make sure my children who area ll under 10 were not watching. Other than that, who cares? Love one another, whoever you choose.
Ha ha
I should have made the question, just, "holding hands" and then you all wouldn't get worried about it getting gross. But I had a picture of two men kissing and I based the article on that.
That was sweet what many of you said about "love" but I don't think two men kissing on the street has anything to do with love. It would most certainly be a purely political act.
[my 10 year old impression!]..
So, why shouldn't other people be able to kiss whoever they want?
It's none of anyone's business, that's my opinion.
