1) If you are a mass mailer, can you please remove your connection from me? From now on when I get them, they'll immediately be deleted and then if it happens one more time, then I'll remove the connection myself. I'd rather have you just do it NOW, to avoid any further emails though.
2) I love personal emails, don't get me wrong. The emails I'm talking about are the obvious "Come look at my stuff" notes that are usually sent to 1000 connections.Â
3) If you are a taker and not a giver, and don't intend to change that anytime soon, please remove your connection.

I will be doing following through with the above statements as well with my connections! I just don't have the time nor the patience to keep getting all of the 'notice me' mass emails & if you want me to look at an article or image of yours then please just send the message with the link just to me from you. I do not promote about 95% of my own articles or images because I feel that if any of my connections or other members of Gather are interested in something that I have published then ya'll or they will just go look at my articles &/or publishings by ya'll's or their own interests without any promoting from me!

I started deleting mass email connections when I noticed that it is a feature many abuse. HOwever, I then started finding that the same people were still sending me mass emails through groups! Now, I'm blocking the sender and hoping that they never have anything important to say to me.
I know some people want mass emails and that's okay with me. I think your idea is good. Let people know you don't want them and then block the senders. I don't remember their connections, though; although, they might. I read what I can from my connections, and get notice on "My Page" about who's published what. That's why I block mass emailers. That way I don't get two or three notices about one article and I don't have to disconnect and if they get mad cause I blocked them, they have the option of disconnecting from me. But, I have to also say, I could swear Faith is one of the people that used to send them to me! Am I remembering that wrong? Or did she have a change of heart?
