Hi, folks!
I've finished tabulating the book title voting results from responses from the Gather article and a query I emailed to my LeGarde Newsletter subscribers. All in all, there were over 320 folks who voted for first, second and third place among the titles I listed, as well as those who provided many suggestions for great alternatives!
First of all, thank you all for participating. I appreciate the time you all took to vote - and your enthusiasm and honesty was most welcome. I still don't know which title my publisher will choose, but I'll let you know as soon as she informs me. ;o)
Even though The Green Marble was not on the official vote list, it got just about as many votes as for The Disappearance of Billy Moore (83), which squeaked by with one more vote than The Green Marble (82). In third place was Unearthed (40), followed closely by Cat's Eye (36). Going Under received 22 votes, and even though it wasn't on the list, The Knotweed Patch (or various permutations of this) received 13 votes.
I'm also listing the new titles you folks suggested when I contact my publisher, in case she falls for some of them as I did!
Stay tuned for the final decision. Once again, you folks are amazing and I truly appreciate your feedback!
