Ok, I am a huge sports fan. Yet for years, I've witnessed baseball manager after baseball manager from Double A to MLB throw tantrums when they don't agree with a call an umpire makes. I'm just wondering, because for all these years I've yet to figure it out, exactly WHY do they act this way?
I question this because it's rare in any other sport you will see such tantrums. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but it definitely doesn't happen like it does in baseball. I realize some managers are worse than others, or would it be 'better" than others, at this tantrum throwing but I've yet to understand the entire concept behind it.
I'm not talking a bit of yelling. I don't even question a good in the face scream and point. But when these supposed adult men take to picking up bases and throwing them, tossing bats out of the dug out, kicking the ground, covering up home plate with dirt, and so much more I have to question where the idea ever came about and WHY this particular sport seems so inclined to admire it?
Any thoughts?

I do think you hit it though James, it's a testosterone thing and I'm not saying that sarcastically or smart like... I think it's true. Perfect answer! LOL
