Hi, writers!
Sorry, I couldn't resist barking a little. Today is the day we're featuring dog stories in the Writing Essential, remember?
Post any piece you like about your canines, as well as the usual list of poetry, short stories, novel excerpts, or writing you'd like to share with us. All writing is welcome, independent of the day's theme.
I just wanted to let you know I've reviewed and moderated the stories in the queue this morning, but now I have to rush off to my book signing at Heron Hills Winery on Keuka Lake, in the beautiful Finger Lakes of Upstate New York. It'll be a long day, but I'll be back tonight to check out your dog stories!
Don't be worried if your articles don't show up immediately after you post them, they need to be "accepted" or "declined" by a moderator. That's me, today. ;o)
Have a lovely Saturday, and remember to have a box of tissues ready. These stories are apt to be tear jerkers!
Fondly,
Aaron
P.S. If you're reading this from another group, and would like to participate, consider this an invitation to hop over to www.writing.gather.com and join us! We'd love to have you. ;o)

If your're in the Finger Lakes district stop by the Great Western winery and pick me up some Great Western Extra Dry champagne, okay? I can't get it out here in Las Vegas and it's my wife's favorite. Seriously, if you like champagne you should try it.
And your cute pooch looks like there's some aussie shepherd in him.
I'm back from the book signing - it was a great day! I've just reviewed and accepted almost all of the articles posted. Only a few that weren't "writing" samples had to be declined. The guidelines we received were to not accept newsy type posts or articles reprinted from other sources, etc. Hope there are no hard feelings - those pieces go well in many gather forums! If you have any questions, feel free to email me off line.
Now I'm going back to read these great articles at my leisure! Thanks everyone, for a great batch of articles!!
Max does look like an unforgetable puppy.
Sharon, you are SO right. Max was truly perfect, and taught us alot about patience and love.
