One, close the revolving door between the executive branch and the lobbying sector. As he said, "...working in an Obama Administration is not about serving your former employer, or your bank account...when you walk into my administration, you will not be able to work on regulations or contracts directly related to your former employer for two years...when you leave, you will not be able to lobby the Administration throughout the remainder of my term in office."
It's a bold statement, and though definitely nuanced, Obama could carry it out through vigilant oversight.
Secondly, no more no bid contracts will be issued from the White House. Obama's actually got the credibility to carry this out too...
Third, an absolute gift ban.
Fourth, hiring folks on competence - not ideology. Really, this section of the speech was the best...

Obama is not kidding. You should read some of his rules regarding campaign donations. THEY ARE STRICT AND STRICTLY BY THE BOOK.
Not only will he NOT take money from PACs, corporations, big businesses, no more than $100 a time from a single donor, lobbyists, special interests, (not even unions), -- he won't accept donations or discounts or any products purchased for his campaigns -- no favors or cuts; it must all be BY THE BOOK.
This seeming meek, mild-mannered man of the people might turn fiercely harsh if anyone in his campaign is caught doing otherwise. It has been made very clear in the emails sent on a near-daily basis
See why the Republicans are fearful of him?

NO WAY he can win without that money.
Thank you for the compliment; thank you, too, for joining the discussion. I guess CNN didn't do their homework, either. They refuted that story months ago, and advised other news agencies to check their sources -- like reputable reporting agencies, such as CNN -- before putting out falsehoods.
Of course Fox New is not a biased reporting news agency, are they (LOL).
Well he did okay the first quarter after only being into the race -- let's see from Feb 10 to March 31 is about 7 weeks, actually not a full quarter. He met Hillary's $$$. She had to go back to her New York Senate coffers and bring out the $10 mil there to look good. I read a report from her own campaign, where they said Obama is going to beat them -- monetarily -- this quarter too. Of course, we'll have to wait until July 15 or so to see about that. The race is still early and there are many more quarters to go. But I say never underestimate the power of the American people and the grassroots efforts of the everyday "Joe" when he/she is tired of being stepped on/over by the big guys, for that is when you see where the true power lies. I think I will publish a poem I wrote for the people in New Hampshire who phoned me about Obama.
But, I think Hilary needs to tremble a bit. If Obama beats her out for the nomination - even with her dragging Bill Clinton around (I voted for him twice). What will that mean?
Hilary's lead, according to the polls, show her popularity gaining and her lead widening. John Edwards campaign seem to have collapsed. What the heck is gong on there?
I like the fact that Obama is an idealist. But, his support of the current immigration bill is a deal breaker for me. For me, it's an indication that he's already sold out to special interests and not listening to a majority of the American people.
But, Obama has a real neat feature on his website. You can present your ideas, and "supposedly" the best will be included as a part of his campaign policy proposal. That's a pretty original idea. I think I will mention this in other articles.
It would mean that he's really listening to the people. We should challenge every candidate to do this.
But, how much does he care about how regular Americans are doing? How much do any of them really care? I guess we'll never know.
That underprivileged mind is so Bushed, and Bushwhacked I didn't think she had the capacity to see past her cowboy hat. Her idea of a good Muslim is one the we have effectively been able to Bushout with a "Nuculur" bomb. I am pretty sensitive since my godson/cousin is half Persian. He is Christian, like I, but his father is Persian/Muslim, and does embrace the Iranian heritage, so I didn't say anything to her -- out of my own possible biases.
Thanks for speaking up!
my comments to you didn't populate -- I don't know why. I gotta get back to my website, but I come back at you later and re-enter.
As far as Obama being Muslim, I did not see this on Fox, but I first heard of it here on the computor, I thought he admitted that he was raised as a Muslim? I will say this, I sure hope Hillary doesnt get elected, I think she is two faced and very sneaky just like her hubby was. I really prefer someone who has some morals. If you cheat on your wife , the one person who you should not hurt and lie too, then you surely can lie to the American public. Just my point of view, but the Clintons have been involved in so many, many scandals, its just ridiculious.
A friend of my sister's was about to lose her house. My sister, who is a financial wiz, did some research for her on the Internet and found some information about a program that Clinton had implemented, gave that to the friend, friend contacted HUD and saved her house, much to the disappointed of her creditor (I am sure). It was a Clintom program. Actually it was a not-so-well-known Clinton program and there was N-O-T-H-I-N-G her mortgage company could do, but comply.
Still, that doesn't negate NAFTA and Hillary IS NOT Bill
Janice, you know you've brought up an interesting point. Does Hilary REALLY want to signal that if we vote for her - we get 4 more years of Bill Clinton in the White House? Now, as I mentioned. I did vote for his man. Not once, but twice. But, the thought of more scandals and interns running for cover - is enough to make me think twice about pulling the lever on her.
Now, I believe Hilary is smart. I believe that "she believes" in her healthcare plan. She's a little too far left for me on most issues. But, it is possible that Bill Clinton may be a political tool she should use sparingly.
You know, "pull him out - to smile and wave", "run him quickly back to the green room", wait, "run him quickly back to an empty green room." Do not pass go, do not pass unsuspecting females in the hallway, do not collect $50,000 for speaking engagements unless Hilary "loses" the nomination.

For the naysayers and those still stuck on the stump, I guarantee that in time, in due time, you will understand what's best for humans, individually and collectively.
And no, it's not Socialism that bequeaths such a wealth of progress; it is humanism, in which I am a proponent - a mainstay from the "High Renaissance."
