Meeting With Farmers And Rain

On 21 June 2007, there was a meeting arranged by some farmers from Uthal town, which we would have to attend to listen there problem regarding electricity. I was ready to leave my home at 9 pm and arrived at my office to finish some important task. Then, I rushed to Uthal twon along with my assistant. There we gathered with Senior Managers and officials to attend the meeting. We were in the village restaurant at 2 pm, where we had to start the meeting. The farmers' president started telling us their problems concerning supply of the electricity. Then, few other villagers and farmers stated their problems respectively. It was very hard to answer them up to their expectations. Well, in a public service utility company these kind of meetings are common, but very mind consuming and induldging tasks.

The meeting with farmers went well but the heat was the other intoxicating issue for us, the climate was so humid and hot, the hot breeze was roasting us like a chicken. We came back to office to have the lunch with seniors. When we started to take lunch, suddenly we felt the strong darkness due to the dusty strom, that was totally unexpcted, we had not even seen any dust or clouds outside while we were in the meeting. We, could barely see outside environment, nothing was visible. After few moments it just rained outside, which was also unexpected. It had been raining heavily for 1 hour. It was good thing but we were worried about the landsliding, we often face landsliding when it rains here in Bela due to the sand and clay rocks.

Thanks God, that rain was not that big to move the sands to fill the roads with. So, we had to stay further for the rain to stop, but few seniors decided to leave the place before it would get more dangerous. We looked for a while and finally I drove the car back to my primary office and safely we got there.

But, the rain did not want to stop, it rained continuously until late night. I enjoyed the rain and the weather was so cool and fantastic. I took few shots but they are not as good as I wanted.

Well, It is to tell you that nature is not always as predictive as it seems. Unexpected things are always upon us.
