You probably already know - or most of you know - I am to write 5 statements about myself. One of those statements is a lie.
When you do yours, it is recommended that you put the word Tagged in the tag place so it will be easy to find other people who have been tagged and get to know them a bit. Or something like that. I think I got the concept right but one can never tell with me.
Today after my errands I stopped at Taco Bell for a Taco Salad. I pulled to the window, paid the girl and drove out - without my food. So if I got the tag thing backward, take pity
Back to the game. I'll check back periodically to see how you're doing.
Those that I am tagging are:
Matt O
Jennifer S
Margy O
Sheila D
Nanina Hawk
Okay, here are my statements:
•1 When I was little, my mom had an old wringer washer in the basement. One day I decided I wanted to see how it worked, so I turned it on and stuck my hand in the rollers and it rolled and pulled - up to my shoulder.
•2 I spent a year in Italy on a school exchange program.
•3 My friend made me a cute little green felt cap with a bell on the tip - for my nose.
•4 During my senior high school year I was elected class president. The nuns would not allow me to accept the position because my tuition was behind.
•5 When I was 25, I spent 6 months in Cuba cutting sugar cane.
Okay, have fun.

And now I'll try to think of my 5 things.
And I just spoke with someone on Sunday who'd been to Cuba - twice.
Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
1 True. Yes, I most certainly did stick my hand into that roller and got hung up there. My mother found me. Probably the screaming had a lot to do with it. She ran out of the house to get my aunt who was a nurse. They got me unhung and took me upstairs. Aunt Mary checked me over and was amazed that nothing was broken. Just a lot of bruising and swelling.
2 True. It was one of the most wonderful years in my life. My only regret is that I didn't stay there
3 True. I wore that little cap as a nose warmer in the winter. Got a lot of attention from it.
4 True. Oh yes, not one of my better memories of high school. Well, the truth is I hated high school.
5 False. No, I didn't go to Cuba to cut sugar cane but my cousin (female) did. I'm not sure of all the circumstances and facts but she was the talk of the town. And Deb, this happened a long time ago, not in recent years.
Thank you all.
