I think it's wonderful that your daughter's school has a ceremony for 8th grade graduation. It is an important milestone and should be celebrated!

Thanks!! In NY our middle schools are 7-8 grade, I know in some parts of the country jr high is 7-8-9th.

Thanks Ed, I was...it was a run around day. There was a couple of other mothers who had the same thing as me- first the 8th grade grad, then a few hours later the 12th grade one.

I think schools should have an 8th grade celebration. Making it through middle school is a big, big accomplishment.

On Long Island the 8th grade one was always a biggie, even when I was little!
