my puppy brownie

 I have a really cute puppy named Brownie Bear (BB for short).

 He is really sweet but can be very hard to take care of. He gets into everything and then goes to sleep (that is a good thing!). One of Brownies favorite activities is tearing up ANYTHING...shoes, paper, toys...you name it!

He always wants to play and whines until he get's his way (all the attention).
The best thing about Brownie is that he loves to play with people who are very energetic. He is currently trying to learn how to play soccer. He is also learning how to do tricks but is not quite there yet. He can sit and that is about it. Another of his favorite activities is playing and barking at the cats. The cats retaliate by chasing him down and playing with him. The good thing is that when we are all busy, the cats keep him company.
He also likes playing follow the leader and will do anything that you do. When I go to sleep he lays down and sleeps beside me, if I play ball, he wants to play too. He is a needy dog not a "when you have the time" dog. He is a spoiled puppy!
It's important to pay lots of attention to your pets because if you dont, when you need them the most, they wont be there for you either

Very well written, Shelby! A little word of advice...carry a little note pad with you wherever you go, and jot down ideas and notes. This makes things easier to remember when you get ready to write about them. Again, very good job! You have a talent! I look forward to reading more of your writings:)

Shelby, this is a wonderful story. Sounds like Brownie is your best friend which is awesome. My puppy is a handful too! Interesting thoughts. Too many pets are forgotten as we rush through life. I like to give me puppy at least one hug a day, just because. If nothing else, it's a great bonding exercise for me. Thank you for this post Shelby. I can't wait to see how everyone grows up together in this wild and woolly cat, dog, people "family"!

Hi Shelby. I liked your story. It is very well written. I know our puppy is a handful too. I have an older dog, and two cats, so if she gets them mad, she is really in trouble! They do a good job of keeping the puppy busy when Baby, our older dog is just too tired to play, just like her Grand-mom (that is me) Don't forget to make sure your puppy gets plenty of love every day too.
You did very well Shelby! Keep writing and who knows where it might someday lead you! Keep at it!

Shelby, I really like your conclusion sentence. Dogs are pack animals, and when we have them as pets, they think of it as being part of a pack. It's important for members of the pack to support each other, so you're absolutely right--how you treat your dog makes all the difference in the world over the long haul. :) Good job!
