Q-gadget: June 18th... Still not smoking

I have been gone from gather way too long, but I am back and still not smoking...

 

One month, one week, one day, 14 hours, 8 minutes and 22 seconds. 1187 cigarettes not smoked, saving $305.82. Life saved: 4 days, 2 hours, 55 minutes.

 

I have been through a lot this past month or so... I got my daughter graduated.. and now she is off to South Carolina where she is in boot camp for the army reserve... I feel so horrible as I have missed her last 2 phone calls... I need to glue that phone to my hand and then I wont miss her calls...

 I hope everyone's summer is going great so far and that you are doing tons of fun things.

Great hearing from you Trish, sounds like she is at Ft. Jackson. I did six years in the Army as a MP and when you are in basic a voice from home is the greatest. After I finished Basic and AIT and got home on leave I think I ate about 5 helpings of Mom's cooking, she wondered was the Army feeding me? There's nothing like Mom's cooking after doing time in the service.

my folks both smoked, cough and hacked away all the time, I didn't like the smell of it, tried one once,it ripped out my lungs and I didn't like that feeling. I don't drink either..

Bethany.. I wish I would have never started smoking to begin with, but as a teen I was naive and thought I new everything...ha ha ha...

Thank you Larry.. My folks smoked too, but they did not cough and all that... I am very glad I was able to make this quit last more than 3 days this time.. and now that I have gone a month, I am sure this will be a long lasting quit... Although I still have daily cravings I wish would just go away..

Way to go on not smoking. As a smoker I know how hard it must be to quit.

Also, tell your daughter I said Thank You for all shes doing for our country:)

It was very difficult to quit and I still have bad days... but things are getting better.. I used the chantix to quit.... I will tell my daughter thank you from you... when she calls.. We have not talked to her yet and are waiting for an addresss till.
