Help the Freelance Writer!
All of the proceeds from Stephen King's Blaze go to the Haven Foundation. For those of you that have never heard of Haven, they support freelance artists that need help.
When King wrote this he was 25 years old. He put the manuscript in a box and began typing the novel that became Carrie. It was his wife's old typewriter and he wrote both while in his trailer trying to raise two kids and somehow pay the bills. So the book was written in 1972 and was in the basement of the library at the University of Maine. One of his assistants found it in January and with some minor tweaks Blaze was born. I love it so far (I'm on page 86) because it is King's old style of writing from the early 70s.

You will find the book for 30% off this week at Barnes & Noble.
