A Father's Day Game

My father unfortunately died of cancer about five years ago, so I can't spend Father's Day telling him what a great guy he is.

I considered writing an article to tell everyone some things about my dad, but I got frustrated when I realized I didn't have a picture of him to include. 

 So I came up with this idea instead - a game where we can all share things about our Dads, whether they're living or passed on.

The idea is this:

 Post a sentence about your Dad, in the format of My Dad is ____ or My Dad was ___ to tell us something about your father. You can post as many things about your dad as you'd like, but one per comment please.

Here's a sentence about my dad to get us started:


My Dad was in the Navy during WWII and one of his jobs was to sew parachutes.

My dad was an uneducated man. He had to work to support his family and then was drafted into the war. Yet, we were never poor (yet not rich) We worked his way up the ladder at the factory where he worked. He was loved by many and is still missed by his family.
