Why pay the high prices of those Ice Cream cakes when you can create your own in a snap?
Ice Cream Cake
2 boxes ice cream sandwiches (I get them at Aldi's or Save-A-Lot) (12 per box)
2 Large Containers of Cool Whip (any brand will do and of course any flavor)
2 jars of fudge topping
Candy toppings
Line 9x13 pan with waxed paper or parchment paper with excess hanging over sides to pull out frozen product later
In a 9x13 pan layer your ice cream sandwiches in one single layer
Cover top of sandwiches with fudge topping spread like a frosting
apply another layer, exactly the same... first ice cream sandwiches then fudge topping
Continue until you reach the top or run out of ingredients
Place in freezer over night
Remove from freezer and using sides of waxed paper from bottom/sides flip upside down.
Now frost with whipped topping
Sprinkle with candy toppings or sprinkles if desired.
Refreeze until ready to serve
Cuts beautifully, looking like the expensive Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cakes you pay $20 + for!
