The orchid show reminded me of "The Orchid Thief" and the people paranoid about their displays -- I guess when you get that much into anything you've wavered off the rails, but at least if you're an orchid person the beauty is the payoff. Even the freaky Venus flytrap-looking one was hard to look away from, and I loved the yellow cattleyas. Good job! (Check out my cats if you haven't already! :)
I grow orchids at home, but they're nowhere near this nice. You're right about the prize winners being a bit paranoid. At least they let you take photos!
They're lonely, and sad, and have threatened to start their own blog to complain about how mean I am and how I hide them away from everyone.
