What was the first album or Cd that you bought, and does it bring back good memoriesof when life was slower and we had no worries?

the first album i bought was the beatles sargeant pepper's. and yes it does bring back loads of memories.

I've bought most of the Beatles albums in retrospect.
My first album was The Thompson Twins.

I was there at the beginning of their recording career and bought every album as they were released. I also have the '1' album - all their number 1 hits. Oh and was given the remixed George Martin 'Love' album as a Christmas present. The Blackbird/yesterday track is fab!

I got lots of tapes and vinyl gifts when I was growing up, but I think the first one I ever bought myself was the Eurythmics first album Sweet Dreams (I'm sure that was what it was called). Either that or it was one of Lena Lovich's early albums. Wow, that seems so long ago but so recently too.

Sweet Dreams was a great song, I love her Annie Lennox voice.

The Beatles played at Doncaster when they first started. I bet they were brilliant to watch, if you could hear.

I saw them live on a number of occasions - and even met them, through a 'friend of a friend of a friend' sort of thing!

You could hear them intermittently throughout their set... But the screaming was INCREDIBLY LOUD (and no, I wasn't one of the screamers!)

The first one I remember buying was Journey's Frontiers, back in 1983. My dad took me to their concert just a few weeks earlier (it was my first concert).

The first album I bought with my own money was Cherish by David Cassidy. The second was Elton John's Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.
