What do you do with your old books?

Donating to the library, book swapping, yard sales, and selling on Amazon come to top of mind, but I'd love to know what else is out there.

Anyone have experience or ideas?

I pass on to the elderly or some of my relatives that are ill and home bound.

You turn them into door stoppers. I've seen on craft shows where people have turned them into pop-up books.

Book crossing is an option.

Honestly I usually keep all my books. The ones I didn't care for, or that are banged up, I'll usually donate somewhere.

Jennifer beat me to the bookcrossing suggestion! I came across a book on a bench in our zoo a couple of hears ago, which is how I came to know about it. GO to www.bookcrossing.com to learn more.

I usually te to sell mine at Half-Price Books. If they don't want them I take them to Goodwill for the tax write off slip.

Totally awesome suggestions- thank you all!!

LOL at never letting them go and using them for furniture- I love that! I've held onto so many that I really do need to find a home for some, though I will miss those footrests ;-)
