Little Things

I really can not remember much about my childhood. I know that my parents were good parents, and that they did their best to raise me right with a good set of values and morals. I was a wild child that got myself mixed up with the drugs, alcohol, and boys at a very early age. I missed out on all the little things that are so important in the early years of life. I do not remember ever going to a homecoming game or dance. I know that I never attended a prom. I dropped out of high school so I never had a graduation. These things never seemed important to me until recently. I truly wish that I had spent more time doing all of these little things instead of doing all of that crazy other stuff that I spent all of my childhood years and quite a few years of my adult years doing. I do not spend many moments in pity over these little things because as strange as it sounds, I have no regrets about this life that I have lived. Although, I do wonder sometimes as to how different my life might have been had I just slowed down a little and enjoyed the little things.
