I just quit my job of seven and a half years to begin a business selling handcrafted jewelry and art from my home. I'm wondering if I've gone insane, but I'm going to do it anyway! Dammit!
Who's with me?

think Karen has some good suggestions.
Why don't you take this chance and sell us on your jewelry? I would like to see photos--there are many people here on Gather and we all have relatives and friends and even ourselves who might desire your jewelry. Then please send us a website to find out the details like cost and how to order. Can't wait to see and hear more.
This is so much fun! :-)

I knew I forgot something! LOL
Just kidding. Actually, the PLAN was to stay at the horrible but lucrative job for another two years and get my hands on the stock that would make me financially independent (although on an extremely small scale). Couldn't do it, though. Not for another day. Hubby, who has been the homemaker for the last few years, is out pounding the pavement looking for a job, and I am working on learning HTML and "growing" the web site (http://www.coyotecreek.com and please be gentle with me!) while working on producing some jewelry items. Mostly just costume jewelry this instant, need for hubby to get that job to get my hands on more precious metal to work with. Right now I've got a boatload of glass, some pearls (the lovely lumpy, bumpy ones that have some personality -- not those "plastic perfect" ones that look all the same), some gemstone beads and some silver, silver plated, and gold plated findings.
It's a start. :-)
