After watching the season finale of the Soprano’s, it left many viewers confused. The show ends with Tony Soprano and his family eating at a diner in New Jersey. It shows the normal American family stereotype. Also you could tell Tony was somewhat nervous because every time someone walked in, he would jump. But every time someone walked in, the camera would go to his face, then the person entering, as if they were putting the final moments in the views of tony. As the rest of his family walks in, a few suspicious men walk in as well and this makes Tony jump as they enter the door. One man at the counter who kept glancing at tony and another suspicious man at a booth nearby. Now Carmela and A.J. were at the booth and they were waiting for Meadow who was taking forever to Parallel Park her car outside. Meanwhile inside the diner the man at the counter suddenly gets up and goes to the restroom which is very close to the booth the family is sitting at. Finally Meadow parks the car, and starts running into the building, then the camera goes from meadows face, to Tony’s then complete darkness. My theory is that the man in the restroom comes out, shoots tony and the screen is black because it was in Tony’s perspective and now he got shot in the head and is dead. Also the quote from Bobby in previous episodes and the finale: “I bet you don't hear it when it happens." This fits perfectly for not hearing the gunshot because you got shot in the head; the Bullet travels faster than sound.

"Sopranos" creator David Chase doesn't see what all the fuss is -- about the ending to the mob drama. He tells the Star-Ledger of New Jersey that he has "no interest in explaining, defending, reinterpreting, or adding to what is there," concerning the final scene, which had fans aghast with its ambiguity and abruptness, going to black for five full seconds after building up. "We did what we thought we had to do," says Chase, and he definitely didn't design the ending to work into a possible movie.
The cast, meanwhile, at a viewing party for the show, said that they didn't know which ending would end up being used, but didn't comment on it beyond that.
The Hit man came in right before AJ, so that he wouldn't be noticed easily, Tony would look past him at AJ. If Tony was REALLY jumpy I think he would have looked more concerned- he thought that since the NY guy was hit that is might be all over.
Also it eluded to a last supper- they all had an Onion Ring, which could symbolize the Holy Eucharist, as they were Catholic. . .
THe restaurant was decided early in the day, which would give the NY family OR the FBI time to plant a gun in the bathroom, like in the Godfather. (if Tony was given inside info, who's to say that the FBI could use the NY family as a cover up to get rid of the NJ branch? it would be cheaper than taking him to court)
any illusions of a Happily Ever After is silly, as much as one would get to like the good side of Tony, was a Mobster.
