Would You Buy This or Not? (for June 11, 2007 - Part 1)

There were no sure bets this weekend.  A block down southwest of Lake Nokomis was having a sale (that's always a good neighborhood). 

 Then, a townhome complex in St. Louis Park was having a sale; once we got there we remembered we've been there before.  This made us glad we brought both Janie's power and manual wheelchairs.  This second stop was a power wheelchair opportunity, and we spent the bulk of our day there.

Finally, a large swath of South Minneapolis was having a sale.  This is not that affluent an area, and the sales were pretty spread out.  If someone had a bike and trailer they could have gone up and down every street and alley and done well, I think.  As it was, the alleys that had more than one sale were in poor repair, and a pain for the manual wheelchair.  But we DID find things there anyway.

Little crock pot

I didn't see the point of a crock pot that held one quart.  Later I thought it was probably for keeping dips hot at a party.  Now I get it, but it's too late and we don't have room.

Rocker sip cup (in handcuffs?)

Saint Paul Saints Bobblehead

I'm not a baseball fan, but St. Paul is very fond of it's minor league franchise (owned by Bill Murray).

Actually, the host was putting the sold sale sign on as I walked up.  Some father was there with his son and said, "This will work for you're room."  The kid objected, but we've all been kids right?  Do kids get what they want?  Not always.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

Power hack-saw device

I laughed about this a lot. It just looked dangerous as hell.  Now, the more I look at it, I've come to think "why not?"  As long as it goes really slow back and forth.  I envisioned it jerking back and forth, which would be quite dangerous.

Still, $150 . . .
