This show provided a fascinating character study
of humans (and their worst behavior.)
I began to feel as if I knew them personally.
That said, they will be missed.

Oh, Gaelyn, I should have checked My Articles before I just posted one asking the question what will happen tonight on the Sopranos!

Maybe a case of great minds think alike, though, given this is television, maybe "great" is the wrong adjective.

I'll miss it just the way I still miss Oz, whose actors show up on occasion in the Law & Order franchise. What will all these actors do now that they've become such a part of our culture?

I so disagree, John. TV is capable of giving us greatness. Witness The Wire. (Yet to win an Emmy but it is great -- I think.) Ok, witness Helen Mirren & Jeremy Irons in Elizabeth I.

Anyway, it's not TV. It's HBO.

In with a bang out with a whimper. I remember at the start of season 3 we threw a big party. Had a bunch of friends over.... The end is going to be far from that. We are going to go to a concert tonight at the arts festival and let the TIVO record it for us. Maybe I'll get around to watching it sometime this week.

oh Also.... I think tomorrow my HBO subscription gets canceled. With the cancellation of Deadwood and Caranaval there is just nothing left that interests us. Not to mention that HBO seems to show the worse movies ever made lately.

I was thinking about picking up showtime instead. You know they air This American life...

I hate to say this, but I'm glad to see it go! My husband is a die hard fan, but I lost interest season's ago. I agree with Waldorf Muppet, what's up with HBO cancelling Deadwood and Carnival? I think everyone in my family watched those two. Let's hope some of the new shows will be as good.

My husband can't wait I think someone would lose their life tonight if they messed with the television. I think that the son is going to lill everyone in the house...

Come on now HBO cancelled Deadwood it was one of my favorite's and very well done. I have been waiting for the new season to come on. Carnaval had went a little far out for me so I don't mind that one going. But I am also waiting for The Wire to start again also that is a great show. And if anyone know's anything about living in the inter-city they are completely on target with their story lines.Sad but true about the large drug gangs and the violence being a way of life in the city.
HBO didn't technically cancel Deadwood. I understand that they waited too long to pick up the next season and some of the principle players moved on. There will be a few more episodes or at least a movie length clincher some time this year I believe.

I am anxiously awaiting this last episode as is my husband. We were talking last night and decided that we will watch it live instead of on TIVO as we usually do. We both fear that co-workers will leak the information to us if we wait to view it LOL

You will have to let me know what happens. They stopped offering HBO except on digital for my cable company and I have been unable to watch it since the middle of April.

I haven't followed it closely in the last few years as HBO is way over priced in our new area but the characters are so well written as well as interwoven plots. But, although I don't ever not cuss, the show goes way overboard!

Yes, it's over. Do we discuss it here & now or wait for more people to see it so we don't spoil it?

I do know 'John From Cincinnati' put me to sleep half-way through. I won't waste more time on it. But Big Love returns tomorrow night, and that was excellent. And a brand new season of Entourage returns next week. And The Wire wil be back for one last season this fall. So I'm not giving up my HBO.

I just watched the last episode? Kind of sorry to see it end. I'm not sure I got it ... was someone going to shoot Tony in the last restaurant scene, or just more of the same? I was pretty happy to see Christopher get killed ... I kind of wanted to see more of these dirtbags kill each other. It was kind of interesting how Dr. Malfi kicked Tony out of therapy ... and interesting that whole bit. This is an old article ... anyone still reading?
