Blogging is just journaling - pick a place and start writing. I find that Livejournal is the easiest to understand, but there are a lot of other blog sites and you could even start your own independent blog if you wanted.
You can find some basic information HERE.
Plus, there is more in THIS ARTICLE.
As well...
The 'Digg' service (digg.com), is a great means of reaching a wider audience, and getting your articles noticed across a wide spectrum of internet surfers, bloggers, and even professional blogging/content services. Gather provides the means to 'digg' all of your articles via the 'digg it' button on each article page (at the top and bottom, just under 'email to a friend').
You will need to join Diggit in order to post content links there. However, registration is completely free, quick, and painless.
Once you have clicked the 'digg it' button for your article (or the article of any other member), you will be asked to provide a title and description. This is important as the Diggit search engine uses this information to provide search results to members. While you cannot use 'tags' on diggit, you should attempt to include critical and appropriate keywords within your description and title.
Note: Be respectful of the Diggit service. Diggit is not for the posting of poems or creative literature. However, it is appropriate for news relating to poetry or publishing, as well as other news, interviews, reviews and almost all informative articles.
The del.icio.us bookmarking service is another option available for all articles and images on Gather. This allows you to 'bookmark' content to the web, and retrieve it from any other computer with an internet connection. This is helpful for keeping 'favorites' accessible between work and home computers, or between multiple offices or workstations/laptops.
Using del.icio.us to bookmark your content is another way to use the tools already provided on Gather to increase your exposure. Adding links in del.icio.us to your content on Gather provides another means for web users to locate your work, when searching for content on specific topics.
Like the Digg service, you can also provide a title and description, plus you can also use tags. Tags will allow you to provide a greater breadth of keywords to describe your work.
I hope that helps!
thanks for asking these questions!
