Well, it' is almost Father's Day Dad,
And I am sorry you had to go…
But you were suffering,
And, this I know.
But, I will remember your smile,
And your love of life….
The way you laughed,
And loved your wife.
Wish I had known you better,
This is my one regret….
I wanted to know my father,
Haven't accomplished that yet.
But, you just wait there, Dad
And, rest your weary soul,
In your peaceful place…
I have but one request, Dad
Hold a chair for me, Dad
Hold a chair for me,
We'll talk then Dad…
We'll talk then.

Jerry, I think you and I share the same belief system. I do believe that we will meet again, and it will be a more peaceful and less chaotic setting. And, I will be able to get to know him then, (there was a lot of family intrusion, jealousy on this relationship. Sad, and my father appeared to be a great, hard-working man). Thank you both.
