Flesh Eating Aphids!

I have aphids!

No, not the plants, me!

And the kids!

WE have aphids.

The plants are clean of them. (Likely due to our natural repellant tea we spray on once a week)

Somehow these aphids are attracted to the people in my household, and every day or so, we find a tiny winged creature walking leisurely along our arm. Yellow or green, that is still an aphid.

Which brings us to the questions;

Why are the aphids attracted to us?
Do we smell like tomatoes?
Are these a new, deadly species of exotic flesh-eating aphids?

The world may never know...

all I know is that they wash off of tomato plants real easily by spraying them with water. I know that's not much help, sorry :-(

Hmmmmm...You probably don't smell like tomatos. Are they actually eating you? Can't you use some of that natural spray on your family? Do you have other plants that they could live on close to the house? I think the ladybug comment sounds cool. They are cute and colorful and would make a nice home accessary AND they eat aphids. You might check into an iguana or some other bug eating lizard.

As long as there is only one at a time, I wouldn't be too worried. Any more than that, I don't want to think about!!!!!!

Now I do remember seeing the preview to a movie not long ago with this same type of plot. I truly hope things are getting better and you have found a way to combat these pest!

I'm afraid Kryistinia may have been devoured. She hasn't commented on this site since writing the article. Does anyone live near Springfield? Maybe we ought to check on her. Talitha has no new material either! Oh no............

Part of me is tempted to not write for a while longer, just to keep up the suspense. *laugh* Naaah. The reality is much too bland. We had to send a computer to get repaired, and with only one computer in the house, we all only had compy time for the basics. :/

We're back now. :D
